Oil & Gas Producers
Currently Uintah County is the largest producer of natural gas in Utah, and a short second behind Duchesne County in Oil production. Nationwide Utah Ranks 8th in natural gas proved reserves. Vernal benefits greatly from this production due to it being the largest city in Uintah County. Some of the largest Oil & Gas producers have set up shop in the Uintah Basin they include Questar, Anadarko, EOG, Enduring Resources, and many others.
